PDF to CAD Conversion Services - Engg Drawings
Task:
All the above details were to be generated on architectural background. Although the project was pdf to CAD Conversion however engineering knowledge were essential for proving right piping sizes & Fittings as per standards (Rather than tracing lines), proper HVAC understanding was required for routing ducting etc.. The new CAD drawings to be generated was as per the CAD Standard followed by our client.
Chemionix Approach & Deliveries:
Our engineering team studied the paper drawings in details as available to us form of scan image drawings. An integrated team of Mechanical designers & engineers with Electrical team started working on this project with dedicated Project manager from Chemionix for interaction with our client.. CAD drafting standard were provided to us.
The methodology for preparing the .dwg drawing was understood properly by regular correspondence with our client, given briefly as below:
- Standard client template was provided to us along with architectural background.
- The generated drawing were for ducting system & piping system as per ASME standard – double line. Right fittings, bends, valve schedule used.
- Accurate layering information was discussed and implemented.
- Methodology for preparing the drawing in model space and subsequent paper space scaling & views discussed.
- Information about the text type, line width, layer color code, hatch patter, dimension indication were exchanged.
- Preliminary drawing generated was sent for client approval. Suggestion were marked & informed to us.
The suggested changes were implemented by our team, and the project was successfully completed in less than 2 week as per desired timeframe.
